Boulder City High School Reviews

I am not a parent at this school, I attend this school. This is one of the best schools in the world I believe! The kids here are great, there are so many different classes to chose from, its fantastic! I have gone to all of the schools here in boulder and I am going to be very proud to say I graduated for here! A.B Junior

Good overall education. Students were able to have a diversity of opportunities in extracurricular activities. Small school environment.

I am a student at BCHS and I have ups and downs on it. I do love the principle and the staff but this year teachers abilities have dropped. I find myself spending more time in class talking than learning. We alway have 'free days' and frankly I think it is taking away from my education. Only the rich kids parents are invovled and they get away with everything. Also sports are more important than education to the head faculty. And they really have a problem with supporting performing arts such as theatre and band/choir. We have a lot of improving to do.

My parents graduated from BCHS in the 50's. My sons are all going to be BCHS graduates from the classes of '01, '03, '05, and '07. I feel lucky to have my sons a part of a school with great community support. The sports program has improved, especially the football team. Currently, we have a great set of coaches that encourage the kids to do their best. Sure we have had issues with drugs and underage drinking, but nothing like the other schools in Clark County Nevada. The community remains involved and takes an interest in the youth and their success!

I am actually not a parent; I am a senior graduating for BCHS in June. This is genuinely the greatest high school I could ever attend! Not only are the teachers and staff beyond superb but they demonstrate legitimate care for each and every student. I've been blessed with such a myriad of extra-curricular (including academic) activities that this small-town supports. Having applied for many scholarships and colleges recently, I've recognized that in no other school would I have such an opportunity to succeed and diversify myself as I do at Boulder City HS. I sincerely hope that anyone who may be reading this rating will consider Boulder City High School because it is spectacular on innumerable levels. Also, this is the safest campus I've ever even heard of. Happy school hunting.

There is only one reason I remain living in Boulder City, the school system. My son actually went to pre-school here and has attended all of the Boulder City Schools and they were all excellent. They have been cutting back some of the extracurricular activities because of funding but because of the strong parent/fund raising involvement, we haven't lost as much as other schools. The school is very safe and overall has excellent teachers as well as students. My son will have an excellent opportunity to further his education because of what he has learned here.
